About the event

Exploring burnout and thinking of ways to set boundaries with y'all was so much fun last month! Instead of reflecting the last year - how about we look forward to the next?

Let's set some goals! What would you like to manifest for 2022? How can we, as your community, support you? What do you need from us? What can we ask of you?

Re-imagining futures takes community and connection. How can we access each other to the capacities we have available?

Let's speak out our goals and dreams and see it through. Together.

All birthworkers are welcome no matter where you may be landing in your birthwork journey - aspiring, new, practicing, or curious - this space is for you.

Note: this Community Call may be witnessed by folks who are working on a short documentary about radical birthwork and this meeting will be recorded! Tidbits may be used…

Across the ocean, the land I call home is called Surigao del Sur. Through migration, my father first settled in Scarborough, the ancestral lands of the Mississaugas of the Credit, the Anishnabeg, the Chippewa, the Haudenosaunee and the Wendat peoples. In 2003, my mother and I joined him and migrated to settle on Turtle Island.

Today, I am settled and operating in Guelph, Ontario, and acknowledge that this is the ancestral lands of the Attawandaron/Chonnonton, the Anishinaabe, and Haudenosaunee peoples and the treaty lands and territory of the Mississaugas of the Credit. I recognize the significance of the Dish with One Spoon Covenant to this land and offer our respect and gratitude to all of the Indigenous peoples of Turtle Island who have stewarded, loved & defended this land for centuries.
