September Community Call

Let's face it - finding clients is tough. Especially when you're a new birthworker trying to break into the game, the client scarcity mindset is LOUD. Maybe we think "if I don't take on this client, I'll never find another client" or "I remember a time where I couldn't find clients so I have to say yes to every client".

Perhaps you're finding that prospective clients only ever seem to find the three certain doulas in your community and to get a referral you have to jump through some hoops or need to pay a ridiculous referral fee.

Y'all this is all in the name of scarcity mindset and we need to unpack this shit. It's another way capitalism and classism has filtered its way through our community and now we have to acknowledge the space it's taking here.
